Did You Know?

Saving the Earth

We believe that, big or small, every action that safeguards and restores the environment is significant. That is why we are committed to representing companies that also take environmental responsibility and energy efficiency very seriously.

We are also deeply committed to providing products that advance environmental and human health, social responsibility and economic prosperity.

We believe that Saving the Earth is a group project. Whether you buy products that incorporate environmental thinking from the very beginning, use products like recycled paper or use energy-efficient lighting to demonstrate your commitment to a sustainable future, we'd be delighted to have a conversation with you on ways we can enhance our environment together. Below are our 7 tips for a greener office. We can help you get there.

  1. Return used toner cartridges to us so they can be re-used. On average, each toner cartridge recycled keeps 2 1/2 pounds of waste out of the trash and saves one-half gallon of petroleum.
  2. Purchase from businesses that have a track record in environmental leadership. Our policy is to work with suppliers and introduce products that are made from recycled material.
  3. Stock your office with environmentally friendly products. More than ever before, consumers can choose from a variety of high quality environmentally preferable office products.
  4. Use digital storage solutions to cut paper use and reduce clutter. One disk can store the contents of a 4-drawer filing cabinet. If you need to store lots of paper, consider off-site record centres that make efficient use of space.
  5. Look for the Energy Star. Upgrading old products with more efficient Energy Star products will save energy.
  6. Replace stand-alone office products with multi-function systems. A copier, two printers and a fax machine can consume 1400kWh of energy each year. But one multi-function system that performs all the same functions uses only 700kWh annually.
  7. Use less paper. Make two sided prints and copies. On most equipment you can make this a default setting.
